LAUSD To Offer Free Whooping Cough Booster Shot Clinics

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The school year is expected to start in a few weeks for most LAUSD students which means there isn't much time left to get whooping cough vaccine boosters.

Under California law, all public school students entering seventh through twelfth grade will have to show proof of the vaccination.

Free vaccines are going to be given out to LAUSD students beginning next week.

Locations include Zelzah Nursing Clinic in Reseda, Eagle Rock High School and Mark Twain Middle School in Venice. The shots are also free under most health plans.
