Helicopter Crash Kills 1, Injures Another In French Valley

FRENCH VALLEY (CBS) — A helicopter crash left one person dead and another with minor injuries Monday in Riverside County.

The Robinson R22 helicopter crashed around 10:15 a.m. near Lake Skinner and about four miles from the French Valley Airport, Federal Aviation Administration officials said.

It was unclear if the passenger or pilot died. Their identities were not released.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
