Reports: Dodgers Closing In On Deal For Carlos Lee
LOS ANGELES (CBS) -- According to multiple sources, the Los Angeles Dodgers are closing in on a trade with the Houston Astros that would bring slugger Carlos Lee to LA for minor leaguer Garrett Gould.
The Dodgers are included in Lee's no-trade clause, so the veteran would have to approve a deal that would send the 36-year-old to Los Angeles.
He is in the final year of a contract that pays him nearly $9 million the rest of the season.
Gould is listed as the #6 prospect in the Dodgers' organization by Baseball America. He was scratched from his start in 'A' ball on Friday night.
