Woman Accuses Kings Defensman Drew Doughty Of Rape
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Authorities are investigating sexual assault allegations against Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office has confirmed that Doughty is under investigation for a sexual assault that allegedly happened in early March.
A woman has accused Doughty, who scored 4 goals in the Stanley Cup, of forcing her to have sex with him after they ran into each other at a Marina Del Rey bar, according to TMZ.
Doughty's attorney Craig Renetzky, says the investigation by the Hermosa Police Department has been going on for months. Renetzky refused to discuss the details of the allegations.
Calls for comment to the LA Kings and Hermosa Police Department have not been returned.
