LOS ANGELES (CBS) —The New Jersey Devils probably have something to say about the ad on the back page of the Los Angeles Times Extra Section, congratulating the Los Angeles Kings on their 4-0 sweep.
Most of Los Angeles eagerly anticipated a sweep when the Kings, up 3-0, met up with the Devils at Staples Center for Game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals. On Thursday morning, however, looking at the back page of the Los Angeles Times Extra Section, you might think otherwise.

Two ads from the 99-cent store contained the mistake. One along the top congratulated the Kings on winning the Stanley Cup and joked that fans who missed a game could purchase a Game 7 ticket for just 99-cents each. At the bottom of the ad, the company added “just kidding.”

Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals will be held Saturday night in Newark.
