45-Year-Old Victim In Pomoma Hit-And-Run Dies

POMONA (CBS) — The 45-year-old man struck by a hit-and-run driver near the Pomona Police Department Saturday has succumbed to his injuries, police announced.

A red 1993 Toyota Tercel struck the man on Mission Boulevard just west of Park Avenue and kept going just before 11 p.m. Saturday, Sgt. Christian Hsu of the Pomona Police Department said in a written statement.

The victim was hospitalized in grave condition and died Thursday.

Based on witness information, authorities recovered the vehicle involved in the 900 block of James Place, but the driver has not yet been located, Hsu said.

Police would like to speak with 27-year-old David Pacheco, a Pomona resident they believe may  have information that could aid with their investigation.
