Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (June 4)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — A broad trough remains parked over the west coast with a wave of energy moving through it. That is translating into a decent marine layer Monday morning thick enough to even work out some light drizzle.

Temperatures will be down just a touch from Sunday's highs. We will probably only top out in the low 70s for the basin and upper 70s to low 80s for the valleys.

Watch out for some gusty winds up in the high desert.

We will transition somewhat Tuesday through Thursday to an off-shore flow that will will help us warm up a bit. There will be some winds associated with that warming, however still a little too early to see if they turn into advisories.

Generally the beginning and end of the week should be very "June gloomy" with the middle of the week being sunny and warmer.

Beaches - upper 60s to low 70s
Basin -low 70s
Valleys - upper 70s to low 80s
Deserts -mid to upper 80s
Mountains - upper 60s
