Police In Pomona Hunt For Man Who Shot At His Neighbor

POMONA (CBS) — Police in Pomona are looking for a 35-year-old man who shot at his neighbor during a dispute Sunday afternoon.

The shooting was reported at 4:21 p.m. in the 900 block of Asbury Street, according to the Pomona Police Department.

Police said the suspect, Luis Alonzo Rios, had a verbal exchange with his neighbor regarding a recent criminal case then fired several shots at the man.

The victim, whose name was withheld due to the ongoing investigation, retreated into his home as Rios fled the scene, police said.

Authorities said Rios left in a dark gray 1993 Chevrolet Caprice station wagon with license plate 6PBU037 and "West Coast Choppers" on the back window. The weapon also was sought.

Authorities urged anyone with information regarding Rios's whereabouts to contact the Pomona Police Department at (909) 622-1241.
