Deputies Shot In Wilmington Resulting In Minor Injuries
WILMINGTON (CBS) — A deputy-involved shooting in Wilmington Friday resulted in "very minor injuries" to deputies, authorities said.
The shooting occurred about 5 a.m. in the 1200 block of Ronan Avenue, said Deputy Guillermina Saldana of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.
Two suspects were taken into custody, but neither was wounded, Saldana said.
According to the preliminary report, the deputies apparently were injured by "fragments" but were not shot.
It was not immediately revealed what the deputies were doing in Wilmington, which is patrolled by the Los Angeles Police Department.
