ANAHEIM (CBS) — The price of admission to Disneyland and California Adventure for those older than 10 went up $7 on Sunday.

The cost of a one-day, one-park pass was raised $87, a nearly 9 percent increase, according to KNX 1070’s Ed Mertz. The price hike marked the second in a year.

But the increase was more apparent for those purchasing premium annual passes offered by Disney. They’re going up nearly 30 percent from $499 to $649.

Disney says it offers a tremendous value and as Mertz reports, some understand the increase.

“They’re doing a lot of work on the park, and prices are going up all across the board, so it’s tough,” said one park goer.

Over the past decade basic admission to the park has risen by $2 to $7 annually, the Orange County Register reported.
