Matt Kemp Placed On Disabled List, Jerry Sands Recalled

(CBS) -- The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced OF Matt Kemp has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring and recalled Jerry Sands from Albuquerque.

"Hopefully going on the DL, I can come back and get back to running fast and doing the things I've been doing this past month." Kemp said.

Kemp missed Monday's victory over Arizona, snapping his consecutive games streak at 399.

Also on Monday, third baseman Juan Uribe was sent to the disabled list and replaced by Elian Herrera.
