Motorcyclist Arrested After Leading Police On 160 MPH Chase

SAN BERNARDINO (AP) — San Bernardino police have arrested a motorcyclist who led authorities on a chase across several Southern California freeways at speeds of up to 160 mph.

Sgt. Siobhan Sansone said 35-year-old Edwin Cuahuizo was going so fast Sunday that he could have slipped away had it not been for a helicopter crew that caught him pushing his Suzuki 1000 into a garage.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise reports that the hour-long chase began in Rancho Cucamonga when a San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputy saw a motorcyclist run a red light. Authorities said he quickly sped to over 100 mph and led a half-dozen law enforcement agencies on a chase across three counties.

Cuahizo was arrested without incident and booked into jail for investigation of felony evading.
