On the weekend of May 4-6, there will be more than 350 Big Sunday projects, at several hundred locations helping more than 500 organizations all across Southern California, San Francisco and Sacramento. This year many of the corporate sponsors and volunteers were particularly interested in helping our nation’s veterans. There will be several large projects to help veterans’ groups, with one of them specifically for female veterans.
The weekend falls near the 20-year anniversary of the L.A. riots, a traumatic event for the city that actually inspired the Big Sunday organization.
