Police Ask For Public's Help To Find Missing Girl, 12

VAN NUYS (CBS) — Police asked for the public's help to find a 12-year-old girl who has been missing since being dropped off at Vista Middle School in Van Nuys a day ago.

Nicole Jacqueline Hernandez has shoulder length black hair and brown  eyes, is 5 feet 1 inches tall and weighs 107 pounds, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

She was wearing a black sweater and blue jeans and black shoes. She has a pierced right lower lip.

Nicole is in good health.

Officials believe she may be upset over her mother's disapproval of Nicole's relationship with an older boy.

She was dropped off at the school about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Anyone with knowledge of Nicole's whereabouts was asked to call the LAPD's Mission Division at (818) 838-9800.
