The Boys In Blue Celebrate 50 Years At Dodger Stadium

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — LA Dodgers Historian, Mark Langill, stopped by the KCAL9 studios Friday to talk about a new coffee table book "Dodgers: From Coast to Coast," which is part of the 50th Anniversary of Dodger Stadium.

The book will be released on Opening at Dodger Stadium on April 10.

"Dodgers: From Coast to Coast" is available at Dodger Stadium merchandise locations and at www.dodgers.com/book for $40. The book chronicles the Dodgers' history dating back to Brooklyn in the 1890s and includes rare photographs and documents, memorabilia and never-before-seen photos.

The book has an Introduction by Vin Scully and a Foreword by Tommy Lasorda. Its 256 pages feature essays by former Dodgers Ron Cey, Tommy Davis, Roy Gleason, Shawn Green, Eric Karros, Wally Moon, Wes Parker, Steve Sax, Mike Scioscia and Steve Yeager as well as Ann Meyers Drysdale.

The book also features original stories by renowned sportswriter Roger Kahn, Dodger broadcaster Charley Steiner, Dodgers.com beat writer Ken Gurnick, L.A. Daily News columnist Tom Hoffarth and longtime baseball writer Ronald Schafer.
