Body Found In Dominguez Channel

CARSON (CBS) — A body was found Thursday in the Dominguez Channel, authorities said.

The remains were discovered early in the afternoon in the waters near Avalon Boulevard, according to sheriff's Lt. A. Escamillas.

Assistant Coroner Chief Ed Winter said the body was decomposed and appeared to be an African American male.
