Suspect Sought In Sexual Battery Against San Jacinto Girl On Way Home From School

SAN JACINTO (CBS) — Authorities sought the public's help on Wednesday in finding a teenager who groped a girl as she was on her way home from school.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department received a report of sexual battery at Las Rosas Drive and Evans Street in San Jacinto around 3 p.m. Monday, sheriff's Sgt. Michelle Larson said.

An unidentified female student told deputies that while walking home from school, "she was approached by a white male in his late teens who asked her if she wanted to have sex," Larson said.

After the victim refused the suspect's proposition, the suspect then grabbed her breast and threatened to kill a family member if she told anyone, she said.

The suspect ran west on Evans, but authorities searched the area and couldn't find him, Larson said.

The suspect was described as having blond hair, a thin build, a nose ring, a black chain necklace, a baseball cap warn backward, a white T-shirt and dark skinny jeans.

Anyone with information was asked to contact San Jacinto deputies at (951) 654-2702.
