Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Sportsman's Lodge Shooting

VAN NUYS (CBS) — A Hollywood man, who allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend in the head during an argument at a Studio City hotel, was charged Wednesday with attempted murder.

Michael Green, 26, is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Van Nuys Superior Court.

Green is accused of shooting his former girlfriend early Monday morning at the Sportsmen's Lodge, where the two were staying with their children.

Authorities said he fled the scene with the couple's two young children, 21-month-old Maaliyah and 6-month-old Zyler. Green surrendered the children nearly 12 hours later at a Canoga Park home, according to police.

The victim is listed in stable condition, according to the District Attorney's Office.

Prosecutors were asking that bail be set at $2 million for Green, who faces up to 50 years to life in prison if convicted.
