Parents also received a letter about the matter.

"In our District, we take these allegations very seriously and are fully cooperating with the investigative agencies," Karen E. Frison of the Compton Unified School District writes. "We want to reassure you that we will continue to take every precaution to ensure the safety of all students and staff at our schools."

The school also brought in counselors and urged students who may have been victimized to come forward.

"You have that fear. Should I send them to school? Should I not send them to school? Who can I trust?" parent Karla Medina said.

Other parents said their children had complained about the teacher before.

"My daughter told me that he had touched like maybe a little crowd at P.E. and they be talking or whatever and he had come and started touching them, rubbing on their shoulders," April Gafford told CBS2.

A student also said the teacher's behavior has been suspicious in the past.

"One time, he went inside the locker room with us students," Cecilia Rivera said. "It was kinda weird. I just walked out."

The name of the teacher not been released, nor has he been arrested.

"I pray that it's not true. At this point, I'm not going to lead them on, but at such time that it may be found to be true, I'm probably the most intolerable board member, having a school-age child and trusting my child to the school every day," Compton School Board member Satra Zurita told CBS2.
