West Covina Mom, 40, Accused Of Stabbing Daughter's Boyfriend In The Back

WEST COVINA (CBS) — Authorities have arrested a West Covina woman and accused her of stabbing her daughter's boyfriend.

Police arrested Christine Marie Rodriguez, 40, on suspicion of attempted murder.

Authorities said the woman's daughter and her boyfriend got into a quarrel that became physical. Their fight took place just after 6 p.m. at a home in the 2800 block of East Valley Boulevard Saturday.

West Covina Police Lt. Alan Henley told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune that "the mother intervened and stabbed the male in the back."

The boyfriend is in his 20s and reportedly suffered severe injuries.

Officials said he is in the hospital and his condition is stable.
