Actor Michael Madsen Arrested After Alleged Physical Altercation With Teen Son

MALIBU (CBS) — Actor Michael Madsen was arrested in Malibu Friday on suspicion of physical abuse involving his teenage son, sheriff's officials said.

The 54-year-old actor --known for "Reservoir Dogs" and "Donnie Brasco" -- was arrested at 2:15 p.m. at a home in Malibu, said Deputy Peter Gomez of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.

"Madsen...appeared under the influence of alcohol," Gomez said. "(He) got into a physical altercation with his teenage son."

Gomez said the teenager did not require medical attention, but Madsen was arrested.

Madsen, who is actress Virginia Madsen's brother, was booked at the Lost Hills sheriff's station, where he is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

The arrest was first reported by the entertainment news website TMZ.com.
