Los Angeles Irish Pubs Where You Can Celebrate St. Patty's Day

As the saying goes, everyone is Irish on Saint Patrick's Day. The holiday that commemorates the arrival of Christianity on the Emerald Isle is a widely celebrated Saint's Day the world over, with millions of people sporting shamrocks or donning the traditional green to avoid being pinched on March 17th annually. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day and enjoy a pint at Los Angeles' best Irish Pubs.

Hours: Mon to Fri – 3 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Sat to Sun – 6 p.m.  - 2 a.m.

Tucked away in the heart of the hipster paradise that is Los Feliz Village is one of the best beer pubs on earth. With more than 64 varieties to choose from and a bartending staff whose knowledge is encyclopedic, you won't just drink beer, you'll learn beer. One of the pub's best qualities is its daily happy hour from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. which entitles its patrons a free personal sized pizza with drink orders.

This fantastic pub is a step back in time right next to the Egyptian Theater in the electric center of Hollywood Boulevard. Authentic Irish fare and a few So-Cal staples are served up by a friendly and engaged staff and there are two happy hours daily, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. and from 10  p.m.  – 12 a.m. The pub offers up a great happy hour and live music regularly. Steeped in Old Hollywood history, this landmark hosted the original Oscars after-party and its regulars included the likes of Shirley Temple, Charlie Chaplin, Spencer Tracy, Howard Hughes, Barbara Stanwyk and Judy Garland. Soak in the history while you sit back and sip a pint.

There are so many reasons to love this neighborhood watering-hole in Santa Monica. To start with, the staff is not just friendly and attentive, but Irish through and through. Next, there is the emphasis on authentic Irish food and drink, put together by a Belfast, IE native including an impossibly delicious Sheppard's Pie. Casey's is the go-to Irish pub in downtown LA. The atmosphere is fun, bustling and casual, perfect for any gathering. Live music and weekly trivia nights make for some grand people-watching. The happy hours are what make Casey's so difficult to beat for Irish themed gatherings, however. There is a standard happy hour that lasts all day and night on Monday and Sunday.
