Bryan Stow Moves Into New Rehab Facility Following Surgery

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow is continuing to make progress after he was beaten into a coma at Dodger Stadium on opening day last year.

Stow's family says he's been moved to a rehabilitation apartment, where he will get help learning to live independently.

His family released a statement online, saying Stow recently had surgery on his Achilles tendons.

"The casts were taken off Thursday and he should now be able to put his feet flat when his therapists stand him," the latest entry on support4bryanstow.com reads.

Stow is still dealing with many recovery issues, though. He was not able to recall a recent surprise birthday party in his honor, just one day after the event.
