Coroner: Woman Found Dead Inside Parked Car In Burbank Was Victim Of Foul Play

BURBANK (CBS) —  A woman who was found dead in a parked car in Burbank was the victim of foul play, according to Lt. Cheryl MacWillie of the Coroner's office.

The victim was also identified Sunday as 37-year-old Dorothy Jean McGuire, a Sunland resident.

McGuire's body was discovered Friday night in a location on the L.A.-Burbank line, in the 500 block of North Sparks Street.

Reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, Edward Lawrence said the victim's boyfriend expressed concern when McGuire didn't return home Friday night. He searched for her and found her, unresponsive, in a parked car in a driveway outside a home in Burbank.

Sunday night, police announced the arrest of David Perry, 43, of Burbank. His relationship to the victim was not immediately made clear. But police said the home and the car both belonged to Perry.

He was arrested after police issued a search warrant for the home Sunday.

He's being held on $1 million bail.
