Police: Gun-Wielding Man Fatally Shot In Harbor City
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A man was fatally shot by a Los Angeles police officer after authorities say he reached for his gun.

The officer-involved shooting occurred at or near Lomita Boulevard and Normandie Avenue about 10:30 p.m. Friday, according to a Lt. Parker at the Harbor Station.
According to preliminary information, officers had attempted to stop the suspect who they say was wielding a gun.
"Officers observed him; he had a gun and it resulting in a shooting," Parker said, adding that the suspect's pistol was seized as evidence.
One officer was taken to an area hospital for treatment of a minor injury, according to authorities.
No other information was immediately available.
