Newport Coast Woman, 23, Gets 4 Years In Bicyclist's Death

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A Newport Coast woman will spend four years in prison for killing a bicyclist last year.

Danae Marie Miller, 23, pleaded guilty to gross vehicular manslaughter in the death of 41-year-old Amine Britel, who was struck as he rode his bicycle on San Joaquin Hills Road in a marked lane.

Miller, who was driving while intoxicated, would have faced up to 10 years in prison if she was convicted at trial.

Court records show was cited 16 times for alleged traffic violations between 2005 and 2011.
