Cal Poly Pomona Hits 3/4 Shot With 0.6 Left In 2OT To Beat Dominguez Hills

POMONA, Calif. (CBS) What a thrilling and improbable finish between Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal Poly Pomona!

It took two overtimes and three last-second three's, including a three-quarter shot at the buzzer by Mitchel Anderson to win it for Pomona 60-58.

"I've seen games like this on TV but never been a part of one until now," Broncos' head coach Greg Kamansky said on the schools website. "I'm happy for our seniors since this was their night."

The sequence began with Cal Poly's DeRonn Scott hitting a three with 8.7 seconds to play to put up Broncos up 56-54.

Then Dominguez Hill fired back with another three-point play by Robert Willhite with 0.6 seconds left in regulation

And with no timeout for the Broncos, Cal Poly commentator and former KCAL/CBS 2 Intern Brandon Marcus tells the dramatic finish(above) that only 1,631 people saw live....
