AGUANGA (CBS) —  A driver is in critical condition after crashing and overturning his Corvette in Aguanga Sunday morning, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The crash happened about 8:45 a.m. at Sage Road and Highway 79, CalFire’s Melody Hendrickson said.

According to a California Highway Patrol report, the unidentified motorist swerved to miss a traffic hazard and lost control of his vehicle, which overturned on the side of the road.

The driver was airlifted to a hospital, Hendrickson said.

This driver was Mark Scully, a 26 year Air Force Veteran and actor. Miraculously Mark had between 40 and 50 fractures in his spine but did NOT break anything! He is not paralyzed and miraculously is home in Aguanga in a neck brace recovering from the fractures and a gash in his head. Mark swerved to avoid a coyote when his Corvette skidded up and embankment and down again. He was air-lifted to Inland Medical Center and released today on Tuesday, Feb. 22nd. He feels God with with him as it could be far more serious than it was.
