Who Is Marcos Cardenas And Why Did Someone Leave Him At The Hospital?

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A 60-something Guatemalan man was dropped off at the Good Samaritan Hospital ER last month but no one has come to retrieve him.

Hospital officials today sought the public's help in identifying the man.

The man was dropped off on Jan. 26 and was not carrying any identification, said hospital spokeswoman Katrina Bada.

"(The man) answers to the name of Marcos Cardenas," Bada said. "He does not have any type of identification card on his person and cannot remember the details of his home address."

Bada said all avenues to determine the man's identity have been exhausted, including contacting local missing persons units.

Hospital officials urged anyone with information regarding the man to call (213) 977-2550.
