Students At Crescenta Valley High Mourn Boy, 15

LA CRESCENTA (CBS) — A La Crescenta community is in shock Saturday after a 15-year-old student jumped to his death at a crowded school campus.

The incident happened during lunchtime Friday at Crescenta Valley High School.

Sheriff's deputies say Drew Ferraro took a running jump from a third-story roof and plunged to his death in the central quad.

Students say he was bullied.

However, a spokesperson for the Glendale Unified School District says there is no indication of bullying.

A prayer vigil was held Friday night at the school.

The school district says extra counselors will be on hand when classes resume on Tuesday.
