LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Celebrities -- fans and friends -- took to Twitter to express their shock and grief about the untimely death of singer/actress/legend Whitney Houston at 48. And they get so emotional...

Ex-husband Bobby Brown was performing with his old group New Edition in Mississippi. He admittedly had trouble taking the stage. He told the crowd, "I love you, Whitney."

"Dancing With the Stars" dancer Cheryl Burke: So sad to be writing this. My prayers go out to her family. RIP Whitney Houston.

Aretha Franklin: My heart goes out to Cissy, her daughter Bobbi Kris, her family and Bobby.
