Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Feb. 10)

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — It should be another nice day across Southern California.

Expect a little bit of cooling, but our daytime highs will still reach into the mid to upper 70s. The high pressure ridge that kept the area warm Thursday and will keep us mild Friday is starting to break down.

There are a series of waves of energy moving through the west coast. Each wave will bring cooler temperatures, gusty winds, and some cloud cover. The first wave will be dry on Saturday, but it will be much cooler. The second wave will be on Monday and this one could bring us a scattered shower. Wave three is late Tuesday into early Wednesday morning. There is a very slight chance for a scattered shower. The fourth wave will be Saturday next week.

A high surf advisory is in place through Friday afternoon.

Beaches - upper 60s
Basin - mid 70s
Valleys - mid 70s
Deserts - low 70s
Mountains - upper 50s
