Susan Galeas Shares The Signs Of Alzheimer's Disease

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — President & CEO of Alzheimer's Association California Southland Chapter, Susan Galeas, visited the KCAL 9 studios Wednesday to talk about recognizing signs of the deadly disease.

• Alzheimer's disease impact on California is not to be underestimated.
• Nearly 600,000 Californians have the disease today; There will be an estimated 1.2 million by 2030.
• It is clear every effort must be made to address this disease.
• Last year, 1.1 million caregivers in California provided 960,000 hours of unpaid care for a loved one with Alzheimer's or another dementia valued at $10.7 million dollars.
