IE Deputy District Attorney Arrested After Allegedly Threatening To Kill Boss
BARSTOW (CBS) — An Inland Empire deputy district attorney was arrested last week after she allegedly made threats to kill her boss.
Deputy District Attorney Barbara McCalanahan was arrested on Jan. 12 for suspicion of making criminal threats with intent to terrorize, the Desert Dispatch reports.
McCalanahan threatened to kill her boss, Supervising Deputy District Attorney Julie Peterson by injecting her with insulin while the two were in an elevator, the paper said.
Peterson said McCalanahan was a "problem employee," an arrest warrant obtained by the Desert Dispatch stated.
McCalanahan is reportedly an insulin-dependent diabetic.
She has been free on bail since Jan. 13. and will be arraigned March 8 in Barstow.
