HOLLYWOOD (CBS) — The man whose head, hands and feet were discovered in the Hollywood Hills earlier this week has been identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.

The victim is 66-year-old Hervey Medellin of Los Angeles.

Two dog walkers discovered a human head Tuesday while walking in Bronson Park near the Hollywood sign.

Searchers Wednesday discovered the victim’s hands and feet nearby.

LAPD Thursday searched an apartment on the 6200 block of De Longpre Avenue in Hollywood and left hours later with a box of evidence. They also towed away a silver passenger vehicle.

A person was reportedly questioned in connection with the case.

No arrests have been made.

    Hervey was a really nice guy. I remember when he worked at the Mexicana Airlines kiosk on Olive St. next to the Biltmore Hotel It’s now a shoe repair place). Many of the hotel employees would buy their tickets to Mexico from him. He was also a member of the Biltmore Health Club for many years. He was a little unusual – but always nice. Tragic.
