Police Release Video Of Man Who Allegedly Robbed, Assaulted Woman On Bus

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Los Angeles Police Department Wilshire Division robbery detectives have released video of a suspect wanted for a robbery and assault of a 26-year-old woman on a city bus.

Officials say around 6:15 a.m. on January 9, the suspect and victim were both riding a bus on Pico Boulevard at La Cienga when the suspect approached the victim.

The suspect reportedly struck the victim twice in the face and then took her cell phone. When the bus stopped, the suspect fled eastbound on Pico, according to police.

The victim was treated by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics at the scene for minor injuries.

The suspect was described as a male Hispanic, 20-27 years of age, about 5'6" tall and weighing about 180-200 pounds. He has brown eyes and a shaved head.

He is shown wearing a black jacket, checkered pants, blue and white shoes as well as a black beanie.
