Cy Young Winner Kershaw Wants $10M

LOS ANGELES (CBS) - Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw is hoping to earn $10 million next season.

The 2011 Cy Young award winner submitted his proposal, with the team countering with a $6.5 million offer.

Both Kershaw and the team were required to submit proposals as part of the of salary arbirtration process.

The 2011 Cy Young winner earned $500,000 last season.

Kershaw is not eligible to become a free-agent until  2015.
