Man Dead, Woman Injured In Attempted Murder-Suicide At Park La Brea
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A dead man and injured woman were found Friday evening by police at an apartment unit in the sprawling Park La Brea complex in the Fairfax District.

Los Angeles police responded to a call around 8 p.m. in the 500 block of South Orange Grove Avenue and found one man dead in an apparent suicide, and an injured female. Los Angeles police Officer Cleon Joseph did not describe the extent of the woman's injuries other to say she had been transported to a hospital.
City firefighters said they have no records of being called to that location for a gunshot or other injury tonight.
Amanda Burden, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, said the woman had injuries sustained by a blunt force trauma to the head. She also reported that the woman was expected to make a complete recovery.
The police investigation is ongoing, Joseph said.
