Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (December 30)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Some coastal residents are waking up to patchy, dense fog Friday morning as the on-shore flow strengthens.

Look for hazy sunshine later on. Friday will be a little cooler than Thursday, but temperatures are still running above average.

The ridge will build back in for Friday and Saturday, which will bring us warm temperatures again.

Sunday looks like it's going to be the warmest day of the week. Temperatures will be in the 80s in our valley and Inland Empire cities.

Monday will be slightly cooler, before things will warm up for Tuesday and Wednesday.

For the end of the week, it looks like a bigger trough is going to dig into the West Coast, which could bring our temperatures back down to reality and give us a chance for showers.

Coast - mid 60s
Basin - low 70s
Valleys - mid 70s
Desert - upper 60s
Mountains - low 60s
