Impress Your Guests With NYE Drink Specials Crafted With Karlsson's Gold Vodka

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Hosting a New Year's Eve party? Treat your guests to creative cocktails!

Jaymee Mandeville, Mixologist and bar manager of Drago Centro in Downtown LA, visited the KCAL 9 studios Thursday and brought along some festive drink recipes made with Karlsson's Gold Vodka to ring in the new year.

· The Swede Life is a light and herbal cocktail that will pair with any dish being served for dinner (perfect for buffet style cocktail parties)

2 oz Karlsson's vodka

3/4 oz lime juice

3/4 oz simple syrup

4-5 basil leaves

Splash of Champagne or sparkling wine

In a highball muddle basil, add rocks then pour vodka, lime and sugar, top with champagne and stir with a bar spoon.

· Karlsson's After Dark is derived from the classic side-car, and is the perfect nightcap with a touch of sweetness to finish off the night.

3/4 oz lemon juice

3/4 oz triple sec

5 blackberries

In a mixing glass, muddle blackberries, add other ingredients, shake and strain into a martini glass with a sea salt and sugar rim

· For those of us who may have overindulged, The Golden Good Morning is a cocktail with the vitamins and nutrients you need for the day, a little "hair of the dog", and a zing of spice to get you jump started to start the New Year.

2 oz Karlsson's vodka

1 oz carrot juice

1/4 oz orange marmalade

1/2 oz lemon juice

2 dashes Tabasco

1 oz cucumber

In a mixing glass, muddle cucumber, add all other ingredients, shake and fine strain over ice in a highball glass.
