PERRIS (CBS)  — A skydiver has succumbed to his injuries Tuesday afternoon following a hard landing at Perris Valley Airport.

The accident was reported just after 2 p.m. on the south end of the field, located at 2091 Goetz Road.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, paramedics arrived to find the parachutist not breathing and immediately started CPR.

The victim’s identity and details about the accident were not immediately available.

Three people died and one person was seriously injured in two separate skydiving accidents at the airport earlier this year.
