LAUSD's All City Honor Marching Band To Mark 40th Performance In Rose Parade

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Tony White, music director for the LAUSD All City Honor Marching Band, visited KCAL9 Tuesday to discuss their scheduled appearance in the Rose Parade.

This will mark the band's 40th performance in the parade, which takes place in Pasadena on Jan. 2, 2012. The event is viewed by millions across the world each year.

The band was officially welcomed at a special ceremony on December 21 at Dodger Stadium. Rick Jackson, Tournament of Roses Parade President and a graduate of University High School in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), presented the 2012 Parade flag to White, honoring his and the band's role representing the district over the decades.
