Teen Suspected In Murrieta Triple Stabbing Behind Bars

MURRIETA (CBS) — A teen suspected in a deadly stabbing in a quiet Riverside community is behind bars.

Police Saturday announced the arrest of 19-year-old William Gary Simpson in a predawn attack this week at a Murrieta home.

Murrieta police Sgt. John Flavin said Simpson was arrested about 9 p.m. Friday at his mother's home in the High Desert area of San Bernardino County.

According to Flavin, the teen was brought back to Riverside County and has been booked for murder and attempted murder.

The attack occurred about 4 a.m. Tuesday at 40025 Milkwood Lane.

Saskia Burke, 18, died at the scene, according to the Riverside County Coroner's Bureau.

A 17 year-old boy and a 48-year-old man were stabbed multiple times and were hospitalized in critical condition.

Two other occupants of the residence, a juvenile and an adult, were not harmed.
