STANTON (CBS) — Authorities Sunday were investigating the circumstances surrounding a house fire that claimed the life of a 90-year-old woman.

The blaze reported about 7:47 a.m. in a single-story home in the 10000 block of Mitchell Drive in Stanton.

The Orange County Register reported that the victim had recently moved into the home and was living with her 69-year-old daughter, who suffered smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
