Ruptured Water Tower Causes Substantial Leak In Mount Olympus

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A water tower sprung a leak in Mount Olympus Sunday, a fire captain said.

Firefighters confirmed a leak in or near the 7900 block of West Briar Summit Drive.

The water flow was reportedly substantial until a Los Angeles Department of Water and Power crew managed to plug the leak about 1 a.m. Sunday.

It was unclear if there was any damage caused.

The DWP would not comment on the situation.
