Utah's Stunning Loss To CU Gives UCLA Pac-12 South Title Bid

(CBS) -- In the wacky Pac-12 South, the UCLA Bruins will represent the division in the inaugural title game at either Stanford or Oregon for a trip to the Rose Bowl, thanks to Colorado's first road win since 2007, as the Buffaloes upset the Utah Utes, 17-14.

"One of the goals we established as a team when we entered camp this fall was to play for the first-ever Pac-12 title," said UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel. "Keeping in mind that we are still focused on beating USC tomorrow night, we are certainly excited to represent the South Division on December 2nd in the conference championship game."

UCLA will play USC on Saturday night in a game for city pride, as USC in ineligible to qualify for the postseason.

Even if UCLA loses to USC and Arizona State beats Cal tonight, UCLA will still advance because they hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Sun Devils.

The Bruins are still no lock for a bowl game, if they lose to USC and in the Pac-12 title game they will be 6-7, and you need a .500 record or better to be eligible.
