1 Arrested After Smash-And-Grab Macy's Robbery
BALDWIN HILLS (CBS) — Los Angeles police said one man is in custody and three others remain at large after a smash-and-grab robbery at a Macy's store at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza.
Shortly before the store closed at 9 p.m., the suspects went to the jewelry section and began smashing glass display cases with a hammer, CBS2's Juan Fernandez reported.
A loss prevention officer witnessed the robbery and was able to hold on to one of the four men. The three others fled the scene on foot onto Crenshaw Boulevard.
Lopez said a woman in the store suffered a heart attack while witnessing the robbery and was taken to a hospital. Lopez said it's believed she's doing fine.
