L.A. Live Hosts Electronic Recycling Day

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — As part of America Recycles Day, a nationally recognized day for raising awareness on recycling and buying recycled materials, L.A. LIVE is hosting a free public recycling collection.

The event will take place until 7 p.m. Tuesday downtown.

ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS FOR RECYCLING:
-Household Light bulbs
-Household Batteries
-Electronic-Waste including:
-Computers- CPU and Laptop, Computer Monitors
-Computer Peripherals- printers, keyboards, mice
-Fax Machines
-Televisions
-VCRs/Stereos
-Home and Office Phones
-Cell Phones
-Consumer Electronics
-Microwaves

UNACCEPTABLE MATERIALS FOR RECYCLING
-Smoke Alarms/Detectors or Fire Alarms/Detectors
-Thermometers, Dehumidifiers
-Any unit with sludge or liquids
-Large and Small Appliances- refrigerators, etc
-Non Decontaminated Medical Equipment

 

Donations can be dropped off curbside at L.A. Live betoween Regal Cinemas and the West Garage. Vehicles can access location from Olympic and Georgia St. or from Pico and L.A. LIVE Way.
