Source: Dodgers Sign Ellis To 2-Year, $8.75 Million Contract

(CBS) -- Fresh off the news that the Dodgers and Matt Kemp are on the verge of the richest contract in National League history, the Dodgers have reportedly agreed to a two-year contract with Mark Ellis.

Ellis will be the Dodgers everyday 2nd baseman, he hit .248 last season with Oakland and Colorado.

The contract will pay him just under $9 million.
