14-Year-Old Accused Of Choking Mother During Family Feud

SAN JACINTO (CBS) — Authorities say a 14-year-old boy accused of choking his mother during a family dispute has been taken into custody.

Police responded to a family disturbance call about 12:38 p.m. Saturday at a home in the 200 block of Mead Street in San Jacinto, said Sgt. Ken Southern of the San Jacinto Police Department.

Upon arrival, officers determined that a fight between family members had turned violent and that the teen had allegedly choked his mother.

The boy is also accused of threatening his mother and another relative.

Southern said the teen was taken into custody about an hour after the incident.

His mother declined medical attention.
